Granite City Processing is dedicated to delivering efficient, cost-effective shipping and receiving operations for our customers. Granite City Processing offers the following:
- An ideal location – adjacent to US Steel
- Located right off Interstate 270
- Located near MidCoast barge and rail access
- 6 shipping bays
- 12 – 30 to 32.5 Ton Overhead Bridge Cranes
- Forklifts up to 20,000 lbs.
- 4 back in truck docks
- Coil Packaging to suit customer requirements
- Bar Coded Tagging system
With 264,000 sq. ft. of indoor space, outdoor available storage, and 30 to 32.5 Ton overhead cranes, Granite City Processing can offload the largest and heaviest coils, moving them quickly, for a fast turnaround. Our customer’s needs are top priority!

Trucks picking up, check in/CB call in at the South Shipping office through the truck stop driveway. Trucks dropping off, enter through the South drive and check in at door 7. Guests, enter the South drive and follow it to the left heading North to the front office.
Directions from the North – From Illinois State Route 3 head South until reaching Northgate Industrial Drive. Turn Right on Northgate Industrial Drive, follow signs to reach shipping/receiving office.
Directions from the South – From Illinois State Route 3 head North until reaching Northgate Industrial Drive. Turn Left on Northgate Industrial Drive, follow signs to reach shipping/receiving office.
Directions for East and West – Interstate 270 take Illinois State Route 3 South until reaching Northgate Industrial Drive. Turn Right on Northgate Industrial Drive, follow signs to reach shipping/receiving office.
Receiving (material being dropped off) – Skids and slit material standing up need to go to the Shipping Department at the South end of the building. Masters that are CR, Galv, HRPO, or other processed coils that need to be stored inside need to go to Receiving office at the South West end of the building.
